Wisconsin Dance Marathon
The Wisconsin Dance Marathon is a student-run philanthropy group on campus, working to raise money for American Family Children's Hospital. The culmination of the group's fundraising efforts is February 26-27, 2010 from 7pm-9am , when the 14-hour Dance Marathon is held at The Shell, 1430 Monroe Street, right next to Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
2009 Dance Marathon: $56,000 Raised
Last year's Wisconsin Dance Marathon raised $56,884.92, the most of any Big Ten first-year Dance Marathon. More than 300 people participated and contributed to this amazing event, enjoying food, fun, games, live music and entertainment throughout the night.

"I was fortunate to experience firsthand the leadership, enthusiasm and enormous talent of the students," said Jeff Poltawsky, vice president for the American Family Children's Hospital. "In their first year, they exceeded all expectations, having raised more donations than any other Big Ten school in their first dance marathon."
